A baby moose in Alaska narrowly escaped a watery demise after getting stuck between a floatplane and a dock in Beluga Lake last week. Spencer Warren, a worker at Destination Alaska Adventure Co., heard a strange noise early in the morning and discovered the trapped calf struggling to get out of the water.
With the mother moose nearby, Warren and Homer police officers worked together to rescue the young moose from the lake. Despite the calf’s leg being stuck, they managed to pull it to safety and reunite it with its mother.
The heartwarming rescue story highlights the importance of quick thinking and teamwork when it comes to saving wildlife in distress. The baby moose is now safe and sound, thanks to the efforts of those involved in the rescue mission.
