Title: New Jazz Lounge and Restaurant “Only Love Strangers” Set to Open in Manhattan

In a unique and exciting development, the team behind the popular Chinese restaurant franchise MáLà Project is set to open a new bar, jazz lounge, and restaurant in Manhattan’s East Village. The new establishment, named “Only Love Strangers,” is the brainchild of the five-person team who were inspired during a post-shift gathering over oysters and martinis.

The team wanted to create a space that was approachable yet sophisticated, with a touch of romance. They decided to incorporate live jazz music to add a dreamy ambiance to the venue. The interiors of Only Love Strangers are described as retro-futuristic, with a blue and chrome palette reminiscent of 1960s and ’70s surrealism.

The bi-level space will feature a Mediterranean menu in the main dining room, with mezzes and seafood towers served under a custom mobile by artist Max Simon. The barroom will be adorned with floor-to-ceiling cobalt tile, banquettes upholstered in Verner Panton’s Optik textile, and a round-edged aluminum-clad bar serving jazz-inspired cocktails.

The highlight of Only Love Strangers is the 55-seat jazz lounge on the lower level, where nightly performers will entertain guests in a blue-hued setting. The new establishment is set to open on April 13, just a few blocks away from the original MáLà Project location.

Only Love Strangers promises to be a unique and vibrant addition to Manhattan’s dining and entertainment scene, offering a blend of music, food, and ambiance that is sure to captivate visitors. Stay tuned for the grand opening of this exciting new venue in the heart of the East Village.
