T Magazine Celebrates 20th Anniversary at Salone del Mobile Design Fair in Milan

The annual T Magazine party held to kick off the Salone del Mobile design fair in Milan was a night to remember as guests gathered at the stunning Villa Necchi Campiglio. This year, the celebration was extra special as it marked the magazine’s 20th anniversary, and to honor the occasion, T’s editor in chief, Hanya Yanagihara, enlisted the help of Parisian artist Ramdane Touhami to oversee the party’s design.

Touhami’s concept involved incorporating the magazine’s iconic logo into various elements of the party, from ice cubes to installations on the villa’s grounds. Guests were greeted with a petrol blue backdrop featuring the letter T, and as they made their way to the house, they encountered reflective letters spelling out “T Magazine at 20” set into the stone pergola.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed cocktails and innovative Thai-Italian snacks prepared by Parisian chef Rose Chalalai Singh. The party also featured bartenders flown in from Touhami’s Drei Berge Hotel in Switzerland, adding a touch of hospitality to the event.

Attendees, including notable designers and architects, mingled in the garden and explored Villa Necchi’s private rooms, admiring artworks by Giorgio de Chirico and Picasso. As the sun set, the party came alive with pink and blue spotlights illuminating Touhami’s mirrored letters, creating a magical atmosphere in the flower-filled garden.

The night culminated in a lively dance floor around the D.J. Nari Fshr, who played hits from Crystal Waters and Diana Ross. Desserts like multicolor madeleines and white chocolate lollipops were served as guests danced the night away.

As the evening came to a close, guests were gifted with tote bags containing special souvenirs, including a notebook bound with Dedar fabric and a bag of pasta shaped like the letter T. Overall, the T Magazine party was a night of celebration and creativity, showcasing the best of design and hospitality in Milan.
