The United Nations and other aid organizations have emphasized the importance of utilizing trucks for aid deliveries to Gaza, citing them as the safest and most effective means of transportation. However, several governments, including the United States, France, Jordan, and Egypt, have resorted to airdrops in recent weeks to supplement aid deliveries by land.
Despite the perceived necessity of airdrops, they come with inherent risks. Earlier this month, at least five Palestinians were killed and several others injured when humanitarian aid accidentally fell on them in Gaza City.
