The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, made a surprise visit to the set of Coronation Street and joked about making a cameo appearance on the popular soap opera. During her visit to the ITV Studios in Media City, Salford Quays, the 64-year-old royal pulled a pint in the Rovers Return Inn and playfully teased producers about getting a part on the show.

Accompanied by actor Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe on the show, the duchess described walking on the famous cobbles as a “huge moment” and even attempted a northern accent, asking Dynevor, “What will you have, lass?”

Known for her previous TV appearances, including a cameo on Friends, the duchess entertained executives from Coronation Street with her wit and charm, joking that she would have to “bamboozle” them to allow her to do a cameo.

While the duchess mingled with TV royalty in Salford, Prince William was revealing his own screen favorites in London. During a visit to BAFTA, he expressed his desire for another Bourne movie, appealing to filmmaker Paul Greengrass with chants of “Another Bourne, another Bourne.”

Reflecting on her visit to the Coronation Street set, the duchess fondly remembered the late Queen Elizabeth II’s visit in 2021, suggesting they raise a pint in her honor. Both Ferguson and Dynevor are patrons of the Prevent Breast Cancer charity, with Dynevor sharing her own breast cancer diagnosis story.

The duchess, who received a breast cancer diagnosis last year, has been a vocal advocate for cancer awareness and the importance of regular check-ups. Visiting the Nightingale Centre in Wythenshawe, Manchester, she met with staff and patients, sharing her own experiences and encouraging others to prioritize their health.

Speaking about her own journey, the duchess emphasized the importance of early detection and treatment, reassuring patients that a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. With her trademark humor and resilience, she expressed gratitude for her progress and encouraged others to “slay” their own battles with the disease.
