A group of industry leaders, policy experts, and crypto enthusiasts have come together to support Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris through a movement called “Crypto4Harris”. They are urging Harris to develop a nuanced policy stance that positions America as a leader in digital assets.
The organization has announced plans to host a virtual Town Hall on August 15, featuring US lawmakers and prominent industry figures, including billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban. Cuban, who initially intended to vote for Joe Biden, believes Harris would be more open to business, crypto, and government as a service compared to the current administration.
The Harris campaign has welcomed former Ripple board member Gene Sperling and former Binance Global Advisory Board member David Plouffe as advisers. However, Harris has yet to publicly outline her stance on digital asset policies.
The support from “Crypto4Harris” highlights a growing interest among crypto supporters in influencing mainstream political agendas, with Harris seen as a potential ally. This movement showcases the increasing intersection between the crypto industry and political landscape.
