Two Oklahoma State University students, Zara Hull and Kaylie Pitze, had their dream vacation in Cancun turn into a nightmare after they were allegedly poisoned from drinking tainted water at a poolside bar. The incident occurred on August 1st, when the girls became unconscious after consuming the water.
Disturbing photos shared by Hull and her family show the moment the girls passed out, prompting concerns about their safety. Stephanie Snider, whose son Jake is Hull’s boyfriend, took to Facebook to share the harrowing experience, revealing that the girls were slipped a drug in their drinks at the resort.
Jake described the moment when both girls collapsed after drinking the water, suspecting that a resort employee was responsible for the incident. Hull started having what appeared to be a seizure and had to be taken to the hospital, where they demanded $10,000 for treatment.
After a series of negotiations and spending thousands of dollars, Hull was eventually flown to Dallas for further medical treatment. Snider emphasized the importance of caution when traveling to resorts, warning others to be vigilant even within the resort premises.
The name of the resort and hospital involved in the incident has not been disclosed due to legal and privacy reasons. The shocking ordeal serves as a cautionary tale for travelers, highlighting the potential dangers even in seemingly safe environments.
