Warner Bros has released a new film titled “Trap,” directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Josh Hartnett. The movie tells the story of a father who takes his daughter to a pop concert, only to find out that it’s actually a sting operation set up by the FBI to catch a dangerous criminal.

The film is inspired by a real-life case from 1985 known as Operation Flagship, where more than 100 criminals were arrested after being lured to a fake TV station under the guise of winning free NFL tickets. The criminals were surrounded by police and special agents, who posed as event ushers and cheerleaders to make the arrest.

Director M. Night Shyamalan was drawn to the absurdity of the real-life case and incorporated elements of it into the film. Despite not being screened for critics prior to its release, “Trap” has received mixed reviews, with some critics praising it as a fun popcorn movie while others found it contrived and messy.

Overall, “Trap” offers a thrilling and entertaining experience for viewers, blending elements of real-life events with a fictional twist.
