Rookie Caitlin Clark Making Waves in WNBA as Best Passer in the League, Says Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo
Caitlin Clark, the No. 1 overall pick for the Indiana Fever, is already turning heads in the WNBA with her exceptional passing skills. Hall of Famer and current basketball analyst Rebecca Lobo recently praised Clark as the “best passer in the league” after just half a season of watching her play.
While Clark is known for her impressive three-point shooting, Lobo highlighted her court vision and ability to get her teammates involved on the floor. Clark is currently leading the league in assists with an average of 8.2 per game.
Despite her high turnover rate of 5.6 per game, Lobo attributes it to the risks Clark takes with her passes, often trying to make difficult plays to set up her teammates. Clark recently set a WNBA record with 19 assists in a single game, showcasing her playmaking abilities.
As a rookie, Clark is still adjusting to the WNBA game, but Lobo believes her shooting will improve as she becomes more comfortable. Despite shooting just 32.7% from three-point range, Clark is shooting 40.5% from the field overall and averaging 19.6 points per game.
Clark’s passing skills have not gone unnoticed by her peers, with Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese praising her teammate’s ability to find open players on the court. As Clark continues to develop her game, she is sure to make a lasting impact in the WNBA.
