Chestnut, a 16-time winner of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, was barred from this year’s competition due to a partnership with Impossible Foods, but will now face off against Kobayashi in a special event titled “Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef.”
Despite Kobayashi’s plans to retire from competitive eating, he is determined to take down Chestnut one last time in this epic showdown. The last time these two legends competed against each other was in 2009, when Chestnut emerged victorious in a five-dog sudden death round at Nathan’s.
