Valencia came from behind to defeat Levante 4-3 in the Valencian derby. Goncalo Guedes and Carlos Soler both scored twice for Valencia. Before Valencia came roaring back, Levante had gone out to an early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Jose Campana and Roger in the 21st and 24th minutes, giving the squad hope of securing its first win of the season.

In the opening minute of injury time, Anis Bardhi got a goal back for Levante, but it was not enough as they suffered their eleventh defeat of the season. Guedes halved the deficit in half with a goal in the 44th minute, and Soler drew Valencia level five minutes after the break when he converted a penalty. Soler’s second in the 72nd completed the comeback, and Guedes’ second in the 85th put the game out of reach.

Levante is still in bottom place in the rankings, with eight points from 18 games and seven points separating them from relegation. Valencia climbed up to the seventh place with 28 points, just one point behind fifth-placed Atletico Madrid and sixth-placed Real Sociedad.
